Cancellation & Refunds

We know plans change. The policy below explains exactly when you can cancel, how much you get back, and what happens if the weather turns. The terms apply to all bookings from the date written above.
Cancellation by the guest
- More than 7 days before the tour: full refund of any deposit or full payment.
- 3 – 7 days before: 50% refund. The remaining 50% covers reserved transport and guide time.
- Less than 48 hours before: non-refundable. We can usually move you to a later date if you contact us in writing.
- No-show on the day: no refund.
To cancel, send an email to hello@lakebovilla.com or a WhatsApp message to +355 68 521 8252. Your cancellation is timestamped from the moment we receive your message, not from when you send it.
Cancellation by us (weather or safety)
The road and the trail are exposed to weather. If conditions become unsafe — heavy rain, snow, fog, lightning risk, road closures, or any other safety concern at the guide's discretion — we will cancel or reschedule the tour. In that case:
- We will offer you another date at no extra cost.
- If no alternative date works, you receive a 100% refund.
- We do not refund flights, accommodation, or any third-party costs you incurred to reach Tirana.
Cancellation by us (low attendance)
If a public departure does not meet the minimum group size 24 hours before departure, we will contact you and offer a private upgrade, a different date, or a full refund. There is no penalty in this case.
Refund method and timing
Refunds are returned to the original payment method (bank transfer or card). We process refunds within 5 business days of the cancellation being confirmed. Your bank may take an additional 1–5 days to show the funds in your account.
Modifications
You can change the date of your booking up to 48 hours before departure at no charge, subject to availability on the new date. After 48 hours, a change request is treated as a cancellation under the timeline above.
Force majeure
In the case of events outside reasonable control (natural disasters, political unrest, government restrictions, transport strikes), we will offer rescheduling or a refund of payments held minus any non-recoverable third-party costs already paid on your behalf.
